About the work
An old man pauses as his younger self runs beside him once more. The child exists only as a shadow now, yet for a moment the distance between youth and old age disappears. He does not look back with sadness, but with recognition — understanding that the boy was never truly lost, only carried forward through time. A quiet reflection on growing old, accepting mortality, and realizing that every stage of life remains part of who we are until the very end.

Charcoal print of an elderly man captures a touching scene where an old man with a cane stands against a textured wall. His shadow reveals the silhouette of a young boy playing with a ball, creating a poignant contrast between past and present.
This wall art piece, titled 'THE BOY I ONCE WAS,' beautifully portrays the elderly man and his youthful shadow. The cobblestone path adds depth to the scene, making it a compelling addition to any collection.
